Congratulations to our 5th/6th class children who recently took part in the much anticipated Science Table Quiz in St. Macartan's College to mark Science Week.
This event was organised by Mrs Marie Smyth, Head of Science in St. Macartan's.
The students spent a number of weeks preparing for this quiz and this showed in their performance on the day! We had Rebecca, Daire, Pauric, Oliver, Amy, Ben, Darragh and Kate all taking part. Thank you to Daniel and Shauna who prepared too but were unable to travel unfortunately.
At the half-way mark, one of our teams was in 1st position and the other team was in 2nd position! We were so proud! Unfortunately, the second half didn't go as well for us but both teams still finished in the top 10!
We are very proud of their efforts and think that we may have inspired a few students to consider studying science in the future.
The children were treated to lovely hot food at the end of the quiz! Many thanks to all in St. Macartan's College for the very warm welcome and enjoyable day.
We look forward to returning again next year!
